ring of gaax

hiho

i think i have done all quests of chap. 2: now i tried to kill one of the liches in the tombs( the tomb u come across for the unseeing eye quest. this was easy with keldorn and casomyr. now i have an item from the tomb . to get the ring what do i have to do? dont have a quest for the ring.

There are houses in the docks, (Kangaxx himself) and bridge (The other section of his body you need to recover) that you need to go to.

To kill Lich Kangaxx and Demilich Kangaxx in golden skull quest.
U must defeat Elemental Lich(Bridge) and Shade Lich(Temple Sewer) first.

And when it comes to Kangaxx himself, PREPARE FOR A SHOWDOWN! There are plenty of strategies available throughout the site. You can search this forum, or you can check the strategy section on the BG2 page of GameBanshee (in other words, the main page of the website, not the forums).

I wish I could provide some helpful hints on beating him, but to tell the truth, he kicked my party's arse BIG TIME when I fought him yesterday!

Most annoying thing ever to happen to me: forgetting to save after finally kicking Kangaxx, and having to do it about 6 more times.
Best thing ever to discover: Demi-Lich down to Badly Injured... he jumps across the room and if you move to the other corner he's out of sight and you can SAVE

Heh, is Demi-Lich form is soooo easy to kill, if you have the Mace of disruption, the last 2 times i've taken him on i hit for about 10 secs and then he died, im assumeing because of the mace's dislike for the undead.

IN THE DOCKS DISTRICT,THERE IS A DOOR THAT IS MAEKVAR'S GUILT.THE BUILDING THAT IS NEXT TO THAT ONE,ON THE LEFT,INSIDE LOOKS LIKE THE PLACE WHERE THE TANNER LIVED.IF YOU GO DOWN THE STAIRS,YOU WILL FIND A TOOMB.NO BATTLE TAKES PLACE THERE.AT LEAST IN THE BEGGINING.YOU WILL FIND THE HEAD OF THE GOLDEN LICH INSIDE.IT WILL ASK YOU TO FIND HIS OTHER MISSING PARTS AND ONCE YOU HAVE THEM GO AGAIN AND GIVE THEM TO HIM.AFTER THAT,YOU KILL THA LICH,AND THERE IS THE RING.HE HE HE...I HOPE YOU MAKE IT!!!AND I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM.....WHERE DID YOU FIND THE KEY TO THAT DOOR WHEN YOU GO FOR THE UNSEEING EYE?I DON'T REMEMBER.....AND CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE ARE THE OTHER PARTS?I JUST HAVE THE TORSO

SPOILER:

You have to talk to Gaal and agree to get the rod for him. He will give you the key. The legs and arms will be in a tomb behind that door.

Only the legs are in the tomb in the Cult. The torso is in a completely different tomb (but it looks exactly like the other two), in a house in the bridge district. You have to acquire all of the pieces before being able to fight Kangaxx.

Edit: I really have to brush up on the old reading comprehension skills. Jack didn't say the torso and arms were behind the door, he said the legs and arms were, which is completely correct. Sorry about the confusion.
