question about familiars

Post by Ruds »

Does any one know what use a familiar has? I've summoned it, and it sits in my inventory. I can't equip it; I can't use it; I can't drop it; I don't have any special menu in my radial selections.

What does it do and HOW do I make it do that??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Page 66 of the manual shows a chart of what familiars will do for you. They don't operate like the familiars seen in NWN.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Just to clarify, then, they actually don't get any better as they "progress in level with you" like the in-game help suggests they do?

Good question and one I don't know the answer to. Perhaps whatever 'bonus' the familiar provides the mage/sorcerer increases as levels progress. If it is one per level, that's quite a bonus the familiar provides!

familiars

I have used a wolf-like animal to help get rid of some undead.i think the olny use in game is to distract and attack the enemy.

Ancient I think you are confusing animal companions and familiars.
