fell wood

I have got in and out of the wood and talked to the dryad woman, she's told me to go to the pond and given directions from the pond, but I can't find the wretched pond and if I did right now I'd be likely to drown someone in it! Please help - how do I get to the pond in order to follow her directions - this has been the most excrutiatingly boring bit of the game as I've been messing about here on and off for a couple of days - please help before I throw the computer outta the winda!

If you have someone in your party with wilderness lore, have them use it. You will get a good indication then as to whether or not you have been at that part of the wood yet. Be sure to have them cast it a couple of times, sometimes they miss on the first go.
