Scrolling problem

Post by Regulator »

In some areas, I can't seem to get the map to scroll past certain points. I'm not sure if I'm at the end of the map or if it's some sort of a bug.

When I use the exit from the moat house dungeon into the courtyard, I can only scroll to a certain point. After that, the scrolling stops, but my characters can walk off the screen, which tells me there's something there.
I even had an undead run off the screen after Turn Undead was used and I couldn't get to him. I had to wait for the Turn to wear off and have him come back to attack me.

This happened on the screen with the broken house by the Temple as well.

Usually, there's a shaded area at the edge of the map that tells me it's at the end, but in the cases above, there's no such shaded area.
Any one else experience this?

Yeah, sporadically. It's a known bug, one of, at last count, several hundred.

Thanks. That's what I thought.
Suprisingly enough, this is the only bug I've encountered so far.

I suspect you've encountered many others without knowing it. Quite a lot of bugs affect combat mechanics behind-the-scenes, and many feats and skills don't work as they should, according to calculations. Check out your fighter, if you have one: having been given Martial Experise automatically because of the profession, you can still give it to them on a single weapon on the feats screen. It's that kind of "silent" bug that swarms all over the game.
