Bhodi marathon -- minor spoiler

Post by signet »

Chapter 6, solid party with tanks employing CF, equalizer, etc., with protection from undead, as well as Drizzt and crew as companions. Found the vampire cleanup to be ridiculously easy and made my way down to Bhodi. Killed her pets in no time but when it came to her I think things have gone awry. We were doing 150 pts+ of damage per round for an uncountable number of rounds and no death. Fearing a bug I rebooted but the same thing happened (I even had time to go eat dinner and return to the massacre). Only when I withdrew my fighters to check upstairs to see if I had missed a pool of blood did she die at the hands of Drizzt (after countless rounds of massive damage).
My questions to the group:

1) Is she supposed to have thousands of hps?
2) I had purified all blood pools except for the spike room, which won't let you purify -- am I missing a step in weakening her?
3) Has anyone else encountered this "bug"?

I'd like to have my PC or Imoen kill her but can't keep going through the endless rounds of pummeling, as fun as they are.

Bodhi does not have thousands of hit points. However, her script calls for her to speak to your character before she dies. If she is unable to speak to your character for some reason, the game won't let her die, no matter how many points of damage you inflict on her. As Microsoft might say, this isn't a bug; it's a "feature". :)

If you can figure out what's preventing Bodhi from speaking to your character, you can solve the problem. For example, Protection from Undead scrolls can interfere with dialogue; once the protection wears off, Bodhi (and the game) will go back to normal.
