why is my female illusionist suddenly male?

Post by dostari »

OK, so I have a deep gnome rogue 1/illusionist 2, started as a rogue. She had a hooded appearance to start and everything seemed fine. But as soon as I took the second level of illusionist, her appearance changed to that of a bald, white-bearded old man! Can anyone explain this? Is this a bug in IWD2?
I did some experimentation on the character creation screen, and although I didn't try every conceivable combination, it seemed as though if I took one of the 'short' races - gnome, dwarf, or halfling, and made them either sorceress or wizard (any type), even if I made them female, I would get a male appearance. Do I just have to live with this? Is there a patch? Has anyone else seen this or is it probably just my installation is buggy?
Any information would be appreciated, as this is killing my role-playing experience. Thanks.

Yeah, the gnome females and males look the same. You couldn't tell b/4 b/c you had a rouge, which is hooded. I had the same problem when I created a female gnome cleric. It looked like a guy! But that's they way they did it.
