Where in Faerun.....(spoiler...well spoilish).

Post by janhans »

Hello, there.

Spent 14 days (play time) and 2 days (real time) trying to snuff Kangaxx the Lich. When I finally manged to drop the undead bugger, he turns into a demi-lich, who was even more unbeatable than its former unsavory self.

On the brink of tossing the game in the bin, I sent Keldorn in with the protection from magic scroll (I also threw in a potion of storm giant strength, just for good measure). And lo and behold…he dropped both the liches without taking a point of damage, ignoring all the spellpower they could toss at him. Joy.

My question is: Where on Faerun (BG2 only), can I get hold a on more of those wonderful Protection from Magic scrolls? I read somewehere on this site that there were only two in the whole game. Say it ain't so? Where can I find/buy them?

Jan from Norway.

You know where you pic up Keldorn, theres a guy who sells potions in the sewer- He's in the southern part. I think you can also go 2 the Adventures mart and go near that barbarian picture with the blonde hair. This lady up there sells magic scrolls so go look up there. I think theres more than 2- I ran into about 4 or 5 but i can't remember since i clocked it 2 years ago. I think i got 1 in the graveyard district, BUT i'm not very sure

No, there are only 2, both are sold by Ribald in the Adventurer's Mart.
You can however cast spells like Simulacrum etc. (or Vhailor's Helm) to use the scrolls (or any other quick slot item) as often as you want because magic images have the same quick slot item as the original person they were made from.
There are three kinds of people that no one understands: geniuses, madmen and guys that mumble.
