Lack of Social Skills
ok....the dilemna is as follows; in tonz of the little beginning quest in hommlet you have to use things such as...oh you know....like...diplomacy...well my diplomacy is a 2...and a lot of the quest dont seem to work out for me right now cuz im not being given more talking choices....im particularily thinking of jennerth the tailor quest, i cant get that old farmy guard fellow to let jennerth in and i dont wanna get elmo, also the quest you do for Terjon involving the millers assistant, the god forsaken miller will NOT let him convert....so becuz of that, i cant finish the carpenters dilemna and eventualy cupids arrow and get my druid wife and start getting her leveled up so i dont have to catch her up later...so what should i do, go and fight some undead in embridy meadows until i level up and have the chance to put more skill in diplomacy??thanx for help
I do not fear death, just a painful one
(Hmm lots of posts by me recently, I really must stop and find something else to do. Much apologies everyone.)
I'm assuming that your party is level 1ish? If not then go kill some monsters spiders/moathouse/medows etc you should be tough enough to take out some of them, then spend points when you level up which should take too long.
If you are level 1 and you really want to do those skill required quests, go to the inn in Homlet and click on the book on the bar. This will enable you to replace your rogue/bard with a newly created one (remember to transfer you items before you remove them from the party.) This time give him the gift of the gab and tonnes of diplomacy, bluff, intimidate, gather information, spot, search, etc basically have four of your party for combat/healing etc. and one character (rogue/bard get a lot of points to spend) to do everything else from opening doors, stealing stuff and of course, talking. Once your rogue has a decent amount of levels and points later on in the game you can always multiclass them perhaps into a fighter.
If you're trying to solo or ironman then I'm sorry I don't see a workable answer to do those quests except start over.
