Ability Drain - Spoiler

I`m in the underdark and one of my characters - Imoen - has been `ability drained`. She`s down to strength 7. I`ve tried `greater restoration` but it`s made no difference. Is there any way around this? Or if not, is Imoen necessary to complete the game?

level drain or attribute drain???

if she has been level drained, greater or lesser restoration spell will fix her up...

attribute drain, you typically wait a few minutes, and she's right as rain.

is imoen your only thief??? its not necessary to have a thief to finish the game, but sure helps a lot.

if you have jan, no you don't need her...jan is best thief in game...

nalia needs potion and device support to remove traps and detect traps as well as jan or imoen...

imoen really is all the thief you need to finish the game, as long as you don't use high level traps with tob installed.

Yes, it was definately attribute drain. But you were spot on. When I reloaded, she recovered quickly. But what caused it? Her strength was down to 7.
I`m a bit peed off with her mind - compared to Yoshima I think she`s useless.
Nalia`s not much good as a thief but she`s my medical support team.
If Imoen had died I could have brought her back with the Restoration Rod, but that seems like cheating to me!
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

You must have fought some undeads, like shadows.

You don't require Imoen, but she has good interacitions with your main character. Yoshimo is a single class thief, which I don't think is necessary in this game. Imoen is dual classed and I treat her as a mage who can use bows and unlock and disarm traps. With rings for rings (can't remember their names), that's enough thieving skills for whole game.

Lesser restoration and greater restoration should fix this this but it doesnt. Quite annoying really.
