Stutterstep motion

I realize this isn't an offical technical support forum, but anyway...

THE single most annoying thing about KOTOR, for me, is the occassional moment when my avatar will be running along and then just stop in mid-stride... knee bent, leg poised to take that next step, but just stopped... I can move the mouse (right mouse down to look, left mouse down to move) and / or I can use the buttons... all it does is rotate the avatar in place, with no apparent correlation between rotation and what I do, either.

Then, out of the blue, the avatar will ZOOM across the entire map to be cracking knees against the "zone" wall... sometimes. Sometimes the avatar just stands there in place.

I can sometimes work around this by switching to another character, but increasingly THAT character takes one step then goes into Heisman-pose mode.

I suspect it has something to do with turning on the Anti-Aliasing and all the other snazzy graphics options. When I had them all turned off, I -still- had that problem, but not AS often. Pretty much only in the main street of Anchorhead, the main streets of Talis, and the big courtyards of the city on Manaan. REALLY bad in those areas, but did happen in other areas, too.

Anyway, just venting a bit. Frustrating as heck, when two of my characters are getting beat to death while my third is spinning in place, unable to move the 10 feet through the doorway to get a line-of-sight to the foes. :P
