use of wands

I have found many many wands but cant figure out how to use them.Can anyone help me please

it not just the wands its also the jewelery
that you can't cast with so if any one can help please do

for wands, only sorcerers can use thier type of wands and clerics, paladins and rangers (i think) can use the other type
the wand has to be equiped, held as a weapon
you then want the item screen, then during combat press the I button to bring up the minny inventory, and click on the equiped wand ( there should be a symbol noting that it is equiped) now select target and blamo
the same goes for magic jewlery, has to be equiped, and selected from mini inventory

keep in mind you should save them for when u truly need them, especially wands of chain lightening for later in the game
