My pc died and I put the old hard drive into my new pc as drive D:. I would like to continue to use my original character in a new game on the C: drive. I copied all the files with my character's name from D: to C:. It started to work but displaying the over-all map caused the game to crash. Which files do I need?

Unless you are using customized sound or portrait files the only thing you need to start a new game with the same char is to reload the game and the character's file. To do this you need to export the character's file from the original saved game, if possible. If you don't have an exported char file you will have to try to extract it. Copy your oldest saved game into the new saved game folder, start the game, select the chars info button and chose "Export". Type in a name for the char and then you can quit that game and start a new game. Then when you get to the character creation step just hit "Import" and load in the character you previously exported.
