I am having problems finding Irenicus, I was fighting him in the palace section and I went back through the doorway to get myself healed in peace, as I did this my cursor hovered over Irenicus which said he was dead, but he was still alive and chanting as I left the screen, when I went back to fight him again he had gone, now I know he can't be dead because you're supposed to get sucked down to The Nine Hells with him, I was hoping that someone else had had this problem too and could tell me where I'll find him again.

He was probably using Project Image or Mislead, and you killed his double (not the "real" Irenicus). Maybe he's still invisible. Try casting True Sight and see if that helps you find him.
