So how does one up-load an Avatar?

See, it's easy! But I still need to ask...

How does one establish an "avatar" (graphic image supposedly representing oneself)?

I've pottered through the obvious options, but haven't spotted one calling for an appropriate .gif/whatever...

P.S. Pls. don't tell me it's "Register", coz I've been in that 3 times already & will have to put on my Really Extra Stupid hat if I missed the appropriate bit repeatedly...
