2H weapon style question

Post by deevie »

When you level up, the description on 2H weapon style only mentions what happens if you put 1 or 2 points in it. However, my main fighter already has 4 points in it. Does that mean I wasted 2 points or do they actually give a result?

Im not sure what you mean, but the proficencies are cumulative so nothing is wasted.

Hmm...

I fear that more than two points in two-handed weapons may not provide any benefit. You can always use Shadowkeeper to recycle them Get it here

Hey, wait a minute...

From what I gathered, they allowed a user of 2-handed weapons to recieve better attack rolls on them, so that they were more likely to roll a critical hit.

The question is about two-handed fighting style not two handed weapons. Correct?

I think we are getting answers to two different questions here.

If two-handed fighting style is the question I believe +2 is the best you can get. Correct Nephtu or Fable?

In two handed weapons I believe you can get up to a +4. Correct guys?

Yes for two handed weapons there are only 2 proficiency slots, this is why I was confused by the question.

Well..

Depending on the patch sets, GM may (or may not) add much, but each weapon-family skill flails, two handed swords, staves, daggers, yadda yadda yadda can go to full GM (5*). The two-handed weapon umbrella skill only adds benefits up to 2* - at least to the best of my knowledge. The manual is not entirely reliable on the benfits of grand mastery, and, IIRC, the official patch does not have the GM bonus, but Baldurdash does.

Have fun!

Ok, more people who can confirm that more than 2 points in 2 handed weapon skill don't grant any benefit? Because I think it's really strange that you can dump more points in something that doesn't work

Normally you can't. There must be something wrong with your game if you can put more than two points into 2H Fighting Style.
