Wooing Meleny

I'm trying to woo Meleny with my Fighter with level 16 charisma...apparently that's not enough since I can't get the appropriate reponses. The walk-thru mentions using Eagle's Splendor potion......where the heck do you get it?????? I've found no potions available except for healing??

I don't recall ever seeing a potion for eagles splendor, tho as a lvl 2 spell, my Cleric got it fairly early. I didn't have any trouble wooing meleny, tho I used my party spokesperson rouge who had gather info, diplomacy, and all that rot.

This might be a silly question, but is your fighter male or female? I used my (male) paladin with an 18 charisma and had no trouble after taking care of the quest involving her sister. The other possibility would be that you have received a bad reputation in town. That might ruin your chances with her, I don't know for sure.

It does take several trips and you have to finish the quests for her Dad first (I think). My Bard was lvl 16 cha and he had no problem with the quest either. Don't know about alignment (CG) in my case.

Ahhh yes. I remember the walkthrough said you had to do the other Filken quests first. I noticed when I did it, that you didn't have to complete the stealing farmers one, but I had already completed the one to get Filken married, which means meleny's sister also was able to marry the carpenters brother.

It doesn't depend on your Charisma - it depends on your Diplomacy (which is influenced by Charisma). The appropiate response has the Diplomacy symbol in front of it IIRC.
