filliken hates me!!

why when i try to talk to filliken after asking jaroo about the mourning that friendly farmer says that i look like an horse's ass??
i'm at level 4 and still in hommlet.....that's nonsense

Is your most diplomatic character talking to him, not just the closest? Have you got his younger daughter married and have you spoken to the widow and all the other people in the quest?

i've completed all the previous quests and i talk to him using my most dipomatic character............
i really don't understand why i look like an horse's ass to filliken!!

i ve got the same problem.
my char has charm 18 and diplomatics skill 8 or so. still not enough?
level 4

Same problem here.
Gotta point i've got the french unpatched version.
Implemented Co8 mod-patch though.
I think the quest is simply broken on french version. One more bug... :-(

i've got the italian version and no patch.......
i do hope the patch will solve this problem.....
i'm at level 5 and still have quests to solve in hommlet that's crazy!!!

ok, i used the power word "websearch" and found a french forum where there was a patch for our little - european wide - problem.

toee.free.fr/ressource/Cupids_Arrows_UPDATE.zip

unzip the file in ..\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\scr

it fixes the dialogue and you get the holy sword.
strange thing: my party is around 7th lvl and even if the sword is labelled +1, it is effectively +3 (compare hit bonus and check via craft wp n armor). its good news anyway...

hope the bug fixes whatever the language.
