Which bonuses will u get if u buy BG 2 CE??
It is good to be a newbie, it proves you're not a freak!
IIRC you get three extra merchants (in the game) and some fan club stuff.....
you can also download the merchants from the BG2 part of GB's walkthroughs....

Three merchants? I can only think of two... Joluv and Diedre. Have I been overlooking one all this time?
Also, out of the two I mentioned, only one comes with the collectors edition. The other came with the pre-order version, so if you do decide to get the CE (it's not like either costs that much now anyway) be sure to download the bonus merchants anyway. You can find a link to a download in the BG reference crossroads up at the top of the forum.

Dierdre is available with the official SoA/ToB patch, so if you have that, you'll be able to access her in the Adventurer's Mart.
However, I also suggest that you download the bonus merchants anyway, XazaX.

The Adventurers' Mart, and the Copper Coronet, one at each location. I've never heard of a third in the official version.
EDIT: just checked the walkthrough and there is no "other guy", sry to have mislead you.

No problem, just making sure I hadn't been missing anything. Maybe you have an extra store in the copper coronet from some mod?

Yes, but his point (and mine, in a previous post) is that Xazax might be running a mod that adds a third merchant.

True. And not that's there much need for 'em. There's so many items as it is in SoA, while the stuff I've seen added by mods are really godlike. Might as well get the weapons then give the game to a seven-year-old and let them play every combat by script.

The items from the official bonus merchants are mostly "good", but not as good as most items added through tactics/item upgrade mod etc. Though some are a bit cheesy (*cough* Shield of Balduran *cough*) most are quiet balanced IMO.

As Numinor said. The Shield of Balduran's really the only cheesy one I can think of. Most of the weapons and armor I've found in mods outside the official bonus merchants have been extremely cheesy--which is inexplicable, since the game's already easy enough as it is without removing in the mild challenges left in the game.

Joluv's (Copper Coronet merchant) items are from IWD. They are overpriced and not all that good compared to items you might find via questing. There is an off chance that you might find an item there that just suits one of your characters. Here's some of the items you can buy from him so you can decide for yourself:Originally posted by Mr.Waesel
