Problems

I have a cleric, fighter, druid, wizard and rogue/ranger. Most of them are at level 10 now, I have a problem leads to many more problems after I defeated Senshock in Dungeon Level 4. The saving throw failed message kept appearing on my main player, the cleric (who is wearing the hadrack +11AC amour etc..). At first, I ignore this problem thought it will go away, but then more problems came up when I kept going with the game.
1) the rescue of paida - taking her home and said good bye, she still stays. She stays no matter how I tried to kick her away.
2) after another fight in the earth elemental node with a big group of mini earth elements, I used entangle spell for the whole battle) after the battle finished, two of my guys (drawft fighter, and rogue/ranger, which suppost to be unaffected by this spell) still have the entangle sign (green colour) down their portrait. I teleport all back home and rest.. it still doesn't go away.

Can anyone help me with this?

BTW, I had previously installed the patch too.

Usually when Paida is rescued she shows back up at the temple where you found her. But if she's following you around check your log book to make sure the quest is completed. If so then rid of her like any other pesky NPC in combat. The other problem, however, is a known bug with spells permanently attaching to characters. There's nothing that can be done about it except hope you have a save before it happened. Best of wishes.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, I have the save in most battles, I found the spells message problem started by reloading the save for the battle with Senshock.

About Paida, the log book registered mission completed but she still stays in my party (her portrait at the bottom of my left screen does not vanish) and her inventory accessible. I tried to repeat conversations with her to leave the party, she still remain eventho she agreed. I went back to her naked husband to return paida to him, he said thanks and she still remain. I repeated the conversation with him and asked him to pay me 100 gp for the reward, he agreed (poor buggar) however paida still remain. I didn't check if my gp increase or not though

Maybe I should tonight.

I found the "saving throw failed" message keep appearing every second is the most annoying. I have a feeling that more problems will occur if I keep playing it. (i.e. the entangle spells, paida). They are almost to the end of the game now, defeated the air and earth node. I guess will have to prospone this game until I find a solution.

Oh, just remembered that I forgot to say I have Scorp (the hill giant) in my party

ppPPPp Do you think he is one of the course to the problems?

I read somewhere that Scorpp causes villagers to not talk to you. It could be that he is causing the Paida problem, but I can't say for sure. You could try saving under a new file, dropping him, and see if she leaves. Then if you don't like the results, reload the original file.

You mention that you loaded "The Patch." Which patch? I know there is an official one and an unofficial one. I downloaded the official patch as soon as it was available and have never had any problems with the game. If your's is the unofficial, maybe the official would fix the problems???

Paida's husband talk to me when scorpp is in the party.

However, I think your suggestion is good. I will try tht tonight after work.

My Scorpp is now level 10

will have to fight him to get rid of him. After I have done that, I will up date it here

Just an up date to the problems I had.

1) the non-stop "saving throw failed" message which kept appearing on my cleric every second is now gone. I killed my cleric and resurected him.

2) my loyal Paida, I had to kill her ....well not in homlet but in Deklo Grove, not using my main neutral good character but Scorpp. After killing her, I clicked on the question mark sign on Paida's portrait and dismissed her.

3) permenant entangle sign remain on Scorpp portrait, still havent solved yet, but at least I can keep going for more mission.
