Not related to BG2

Post by dafreak »

I'm looking to buy another game, but am not too sure what to get. I really like BG2 and would like a game similar to it. Can anybody suggest anything? I'm really into RPG's, but I'm really not interested in Icewind Dale.
Very well, hi-ya

I heard good things about Planscape: Torment

I have never played the game but its very similar in look and feel to the BG series. The drawback for me was that its not set in the traditional Dungeons & Dragons universe.

Of course the look and feel are similar because its made from the same creators :D

Tried Fallout or Fallout 2 yet? I know they're old, but the NPCs in them really have attitude. Where else can you marry someone, then sell her as a hooker for some change?
...ewwwww. What is bad smell? You been killing dragons?

P:T uses AD&D rules. It just isn't set in the forgotten realms, which, I believe, is not the only D&D world.

Yes, The Forgotten Realms is not the only setting for D&D.

If you like BG2, you'll probably love Planescape: Torment. Modified Infinity engine, very story- and character-heavy, lots of fun and challenging.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
