Wanev and the serpent gems

Hey Everyone,

I just defeated Wanev in his tower and tried to access the door that is locked behind him, but I need a "special" key. I've read through this board looking for a tip and saw mention of a serpent gem quest. Where/who do you get this quest from?

The guy that gives you that quest is located in the "tavern" in Port Llast - he is an elf.

and if u killed wanev, i'm not sure if you can get the key unless it's on his body. otheriwse you talk to him, and get it.

Thanks for the replies...I did finally get the quest from Elaith in the Tavern in Llast after talking to a few other people
