EbonHeart Lockup Issues...

I play Morrowind Game of the year Edition on the XBOX. Now the game tends to 'lockup', sometimes on loading areas, sometimes it will just buzz and stop. This happens about every 2-3 hours. Sometimes more sometimes less. However once I started exploring Ebonheart it locked up every 5-10 minutes. So much so that I just left as I played for 2 hours and got nowhere! WTF is going on!

Be sure your Xbox is not in an enclosed space or small space where air is hard to get to it 9has to cool off main cpu) Also NEVER put it on the carpet, that causes alot more lockups/freezes. If this does not apply to you then sorry I don't know why its locking up. I've only had mine lock up one when me and my buds went on a Halo all-night frenzy. (After about six hours of intense play

I didn't know that self enchanted items are better than NPC enchants. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try as my enchant is pretty high now.

No, it's not enclosed but it is elevated above the carpet about 2 inches for ventalation. It's also near a sliding glass door which emits cold air for added cooling. It is very close to the carpet though. Is static the issue? or heat? or both? I'll try evevating and keeping it away from static sources and see if it helps. But why so many lockups only in Ebonheart? Still a mystery. I'll have to venture there again to test the theory.

Hmm if that does seem to be the problem then maybe just ebonheart poses more strain on the Xbox to keep up with all those pixels, but as i said before im not totally sure that that is the problem, but i have my off the ground about 2 feet and is in a tv center thingy with the back where the Xbox is taken off for ventalation and i am still yet to have any problems with lockups and freezes except on 2 occasions. (Halo after 5 hours and Morrowind after sitting for around 7 hours) goodluck with your problem and I hope it gets fixed.

oh and p.s. do you regularly "dust" your Xbox's sides? if not the dust could be clogging it up.
