I like that fireball it cames in the first page. Most of the times it ends after turning the second one. I've got spell turning and stoneskin, and invisibility as well. But never seen finger of death nor gate, nor...

I've gotten True Sight, which was useful, but I usually forget to use this item. Maybe on a solo campaign it would come in handier.

Once I got the mighty Time Stop and in another game I got the even better Wail of the Banshee. It was in Imoen's spell trigger in the final battle with Irenicus and slew him and his fiends as the Abyssal Gate opened. :D Cool ain't it?

The first time I played SoA, I found a peculiar bug whereby turning a page in the BoIS created another book! This happened several times, so all my non-mages were equipped with Spell Turning - handy enough!

However, fearing an excess of cheese, I haven't turned a page since, so I don't know under what circumstances it happens.

@Elesar, I think you may be confusing trigger spells with the Book of Infinite Spells. The latter has the following:

Fireball
Invisibility
Protection from Evil
True Seeing
Farsight
Spell Turning
Wyvern Call
Stinking Cloud
Lightning Bolt
Burning Hands

That's it. No Time Stop or Wail of the Banshee. Both would have been very overpowering in such an item.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Interesting. If memory serves, the rapacious insect I encountered produced 3 Books with Spell Turning, then one with Burning Hands. No doubt this is significant...
