Poor Bing

Can't seem to heal Bing with the heal scroll, although my fellas have excellent Use Magical Device Skill.
Tell me; am I doing it wrong?
Using my most proficient character, I'm right clicking Bing, and dragging the mouse into the Inventory-> Scrolls->Scroll of Heal, but always get the message "Use ability failed" or "Emulate use ability failed" or words to that effect.
Anyone?

I'm not sure if you can heal poor Bing in that way.

Bing seems to need a FULL heal.

You can find a heal potion on the top level of the temple of st cuthbert in hommlett (Same level as Terjon), hiding in a bookshelf.

Thats how I healed poor bing.

There is nothing like a Heal potion. There's Cure ... Wounds Potions, yes, but no Heal potion. At least that's what GameBanshee says. However, in the shelves you mention there's Heal Scrolls. The walkthrough (yes, I'm a loser - I looked at the walkthrough) says to use the Heal Scroll on Bing. I just doesn't seem to be able to do it. I even tried to cast a sleep spell on Bing, as I thought this would make him an easier target, reducing his saving throw, but that was only a shot in the dark and failed completely. The villagers does not seem to appreciate spells being cast on them for some reason...

Anyway.

I need to heal Bing, not because I need the XP, but because I'm an allround nice fellow leading an allround nice pack of adventurers.

My character most proficient in "Use Magical Device" is Devis the Bard, with a score 7 after variables, not including Magical Affinity. In addition I have Hennet the Sorcerer with a score of 6 after variables, and I think both of them should cope with using this damn scroll. They're both level 3. Do they need to be of higher level before being able to use the scroll? What am I doing wrong here?

I see now that I might be wrong about there not being a Heal Potion. After reading some other posts with the same subject, I see a Heal Potion mentioned.

I used the heal-scroll with a cleric, it worked on first try. my sorceress was not able to use the scroll

dude there a heal potion in the ****in shelf with the scroll its yellow just idenfiy it and if its not there or you used it i think there one in nulb
the lady that say herd and potions had it to the left of the gyspy

I had a bard npc in my party. He had +10 to use magic device, but i had to try a LOT of times to get him to use the heal scroll right. I needed a DC31 to make it work, which took me quite a few tries. Check which DC you need, and you'll see if it's even possible.
