Level up bug?

The problem: playing as a male Soldier I've noticed that every time I hit a stat-gain level (4th and 8th so far) something odd happens. When I go to assign my new ability point I find that my stats are listed as solid 8's across the board. Plowing ahead I see that my skills are listed as normal, but I only get 1 skill point (I should get 2).

Now, after leveling my stats return to normal, the new point is in the right place, BUT I'm still short a skill point. Doesn't show up the next time I level, even if I choose to save the one point I get. Obviously if I were to take this all the way through to the game's conclusion I'd be out in the cold to the tune of 5 ability points!

This will not stand.

Any help much appreciated...

I just had the same thing happen to me. I had a very recent save so I reloaded and all was fine. However, when it happened, I chose to level up during the battle (i.e. all enemies were dead, but my character was still in his battle stance, light saber on). The second time around I waited till battle mode was over. Hope this helps.
