Lost Sewer in Godsreach

I have finished the subquest in Godsreach to slay the mad daughter in the Lost Sewers. I found the two treasure chests but have not been able to get past those cursed protective devices. Is there any way to disable them, or is there some other strategy to foil them? I have tried protection/resistance potions and spells to limited success. I have searched for a posting on this area and could spy one.... thanks ahead of time.
