I'm currently playing a 15-wizardslayer dualclassed to 20-thief in SoA (+watchers keep).
I wanna get the thief "use any item" ability, so he can equip casomyr, but when do I get my first choice of abilities?
I got Jan in my party and I think he got his first ability at around 15.
Do you think it's a bug or do you know at what level I'll get it?

HLAs for the sual-classed
You'll get it when you first level up over 2.95 million EXP in your thief, not counting whatever EXP he had as a wizard-slayer. Jan is multi-classed, so gets HLAs when he first levels up at over 2.95 million TOTAL EXP. Dual-classed characters are the slowest to get HLAs, I'm afraid, and with your guy having been level 15 (!), it'll be a while.

Your fighter changed classes at lvl 15, putting him around 1.75m xp. From here, you have 6.26m xp left before the cap. You'll have to achieve your 2.95m xp in your thief class before you get your use HLAs. This is lvl 24 (3.08m xp). When turning lvl 24, you'll get your first choice of HLA.
The nice thing is that you'll still be able to get to lvl 39 as a thief, so you'll get a whopping 15 HLAs by the time you max out. Hope that helps.
