Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
Could someone please give me the addresses of all the developers for the console game Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel ? I ask because I would like to send them all a letter about the game. And when I say "send a letter" I mean show up at their front doors and beat them like a redheaded stepchild. I figure they're all just software engineers, I can take em.
edit:
I would like to take back my last statement, the developers may not actually be software engineers.

I'm just really annoyed at Interplay. They decided to fire Black Isle so they could concentrate on console games... I mean Black Isle was the leading developer for PC RPGs! And the worst part is that their console games just aren't very good. How could interplay make a bigger mistake? Let me put it this way, I could list 10 first person shooters for XBOX, and none of them sell nearly as well as Halo. Bungie was a great company that made quality games. In the same way i could list 20 PC RPGs I never even bothered playing because I knew baulders gate and fallout were the best around. basicly I'm saying if the've already fired the best part of their company the least the could do is not slap the Fallout name on crappy games. That, or just make good games... i guess it's their choice really.

In that case, I'm in total agreement.
Here is the info you requested:

You could also try their Public Relations department:

(I'm either calling your bluff or being a smart-a$$)
Seriously though, while I agree it is a terrible decision for us gamers, what I don't understand is why they didn't sell it! I mean there is enough of us business people out here who love those games that we could have easily raised the capital to take it over. Or better yet, sell it to another game company who does want PC games in their strategy.
And if I am going to get a console game, it is going to be something fast & fun like the Super Mario series or a racing game. In-depth role-playing cannot be properly supported on today's consoles.
I also agree that Fallout and BG are the best two RPG's ever. I currently have games going in both Fallout 2 & BG 2.
There, that's my rants added to yours.

Ok, so I guess you called my bluff, but of course I wasn't really gonna get a plane ticket and show up at interplay's offices just to cause trouble and be arrested. I will however still send them a nice email about the situation.
What do you guys think? If you're motivated we could organize a large mailing to try and convince them to sell the fallout liscense. I would love to see fallout or baulders gate sold to a company that will continue where Black Isle left off.
I'd just hate to see more sub-par console games devoloped with the "fallout" name slapped on them. It'll only take a few more games like Brotherhood of Steel and Dark Alliance to really hurt the genre.

Eventhough this thread is (somewhat) off topic ...
The way I understand it, then Obsidian Entertaiment (the ones that are making SW:KotOR and NwN2) have some roots in Black Isle.
Company names might come and go, but the truely good developers still live on in various companies.
So while it is terrible that Black Isle was canned, rejoice that you can still support the Black Isle developers in their new endevors withouth supporting Interplay

Errr, okay maybe someone should keep you fellows in the loop.
The rights to Fallout WERE sold, AGES ago, to that company that made Morrowind, now this is a mixed bag of bad and good.
Firstly, Morrowin was a fantastic game, secondly, Morrowind had a pathetic, static engine. What I'm saying is they must have fantastic level designers, artists etc because they managed to make such a great game with such a stupid engine, yet they must have HORRIBLE programmers. No seriously, I bet a lot of you are going "No way Morrowind was great!" Indeed it was, but try playing it and only think about the engine - try and find something that moves, and NPC that will go in and out of houses, or try to find a multiplayer plug-in, CANT, coz of that ****ty cell thing.
Anyways, Black Isle isnt dead peeps, and guess what, they still own the rights to the Fallout Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
Oh and I agree, the console game sucked, it wasn't even an RPG, you couldn't role play at all, you had to be a good guy, and you couldn't customize your character, you had to pcik from 3 defined ones, it was worse than Diablo 1 and 2 even.
