AH HA! there are safe places to rest inside the temple find a very narrow hallway that is long enough to fit oyur party in with out anybody too close to the ends and rest. if monsters come (which happens very rarely) they usually get stuck on the void area on either side, leaving you with plenty of time to kill them w/o any danger. they usually won't even come! the best hallway i've found is the one to the right of where you find kelno. the only rule to this is that it works very well w/ 8hour rests, and decreasingly so as you add time. the best part is that there is no specific hallway and b/c there are tons of tiny short ones leading to dumb rooms you never have to run ot the same place every time! it's also nice b/c i totally rushed into the temple and after every battle my party has like 4 guys at 1hp and no spells left. try it!

p.s.: i already posted this in the hexedit cheat thread, but i figure nobody is really interested in cheating so i put it on its own as everybody would probably like a better place to rest within the temple. my party sucks and if anybody could give some pointers as how to get some good items (i dont care for who/what) that would be great! thanks!

Best "REAL" resting spot! And SPOIL

There is a circular stairwell from the main Temple Level down to Sublevel One (and a one-way door to Level Two). You can use the "Rest Until Healed" there, and nowhere else I found inside the Temple.

that's dumb. waste of days. get a good cleric and just use all his spells to gets your party back to decent hp, then rest and recharge his stuff. way better, plus you dont have to hike to the staircase everytime.
