Which House

Post by dragon wench »

I know that the question of which House to choose ultimately depends on personal preference and that they all likely have their advantages and drawbacks, but which houses do people like/dislike and why?

I don't know if it makes much difference but I am a wood elf, spellsword born under the Tower :)

I have done a search on the subject, but I haven't really seen any threads ;)

Thanks !

I think Redoran is more along the lines of a fighter type house, the Hlaalu is more a theives house, and Telvanni is mage. The quests, stat requirements to advance in the rankings of each house etc tend to favor those player types anyway.

Well I've mostly been drawn to Telvanni, so that would likely fit...

For my warrior types, I prefer House Redoran. For all other types I prefer House Telvanni, even for my stealthy characters, simply because their philosophy fits them, too. (Just ask a Mouth about the requirements - you'll see what I mean.)

House Hlaalu favors stealthy characters, but I just like the Telvanni quests better.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I never tried the other Houses, so I don't get much of a say, but I think that the Telvanni rock. They get a wonderful stronghold (was that a spoiler?!?) too, not just a little mansion! ;)

Thanks!
Well right now I am on Sadrith Mora, I love the buildings there, very cool! Now all I need to do is find the Council Hall  I wandered about for ages last night and it totally eluded me, but I was told it is a spherical structure near the harbour, so no doubt I'll find it eventually ;)

I prefer House Hlaalu, but maybe because I've never had a mage-like character. Mainly thieves, scouts, agents and now an assasin. And I don't like House Telvanni at all. I don't like their towns and I don't like the area those can be found.
And I really dislike the House Redoran quests. Too much wandering...
But right now I'm kind of a freelancer. Only Morag Tong...
