Playing the 'Collector'

Post by Lelio »

I have reached the stage in playing Morrowind that although i love the game still i have played every facet of even its extensive world and have grown slightly bored. So with a newly created character i decided to collect one of every item in the game, and store them in a custom made palatial museum.

I just wonder if this collecting urge is a symptom of players like me who have done nearly everything the game has to offer, or whether it is simply the product of my deranged bordeom?

well i havent quite got to the stage that you have but i know the feeling, so me and my mate took peoples houses for our own and proceeded to decorate them, i have spent countless hours collecting armour, weapons clothes etc to decorate my room, i personally took the grandmasters (mine) room at the morag tong hideout in Vivec.
its now lovingly decorated with skulls, enchanted weapons, magic stuff etc etc. I evn went to the trouble of making myself a little meal of daedra heart and scrib cabbage lol!

but be warned if you have or will do this, dont fill up the room with too much stuff or you'll come back and find an "oveflow loot sack" filled with a bunch of the stuff youve put in your room.

my mate also told me of someone who has set out to kill everyone in the game.

i would be that friend and it was on the fprum that i heard it! lol

anyway its very true we both do have our own houses that we decorate. i personaly favoured a home in balmora. i have stolen
Ra' Virr's house (the trader next to the mages guild) for our little exploits. you can make houses look quite cool and i would like people to post pics of there room because i want to know if i am just sad or what?

i collect candles and lanterns. i did have them lighting my base, but the room was super bright even without 3/4 of them. so i took them all outside, and the road to whatever the Redoran stronghold place is called is lined with lights. the archway has lights all over it, the tower has lights, the rocks and the trees and the fenceposts and the doorways. its all lit up and lookin super
i still dont know why i did that

Ha ha ha, that is some funny **** dude..lol...I tookt that house towerhouse in Grininisisisisis whatever, I have my own prision cell, two extra bedrooms (one of them i have all my collection of different armor types and weapons, helmets, etc etc), one storage room, and one masterbedroom where i collect all my spells, books, potions, keys, notes, candels (LOL) etc etc...I don't have a lot of space left...i mean...during my play in morrowind, i have never, NEVER, used a spell, just collected them as i go, and put them in my house, same goes with books and most potions...

Man, before i was addicted to CS, and now im collecting furniture in galaxy morrowind...where will the madness end....I fell like such a nerd....

I still prefer good old skulls, they really brighten the room up, as do the thousands of candles, etc that everyone puts in their house/room/penthouse/cardboard box in morrowind, skulls and books, oh and Ross, I found the gnome. (dont ask)

I was at chimps last night and he put a skull on top of a standing candel. basicly it made the skull glow! it was so cool! another thing is he has made a shrine to his 4 fav. helmets in the game! its actually looking really cool. i think we should all presure him into putting it up on here!

And chimp dont say you cant because you can use lachlans memory card to put the save game file onto his x-box the he can put it through his pc and get a screen shot of it. then you can go online from his pc and you can post it! so do it! do it now!
