anyway what i wanted to do is create a thread that people can chat about things not related to morrowind. You know what i mean. Just a page where we can get to know eachother.
anyway yeah thats the funniest thing i have heard all week so i just had to say it!

I think this happened originally here in Game Banshee when Shadows of Amn first came out, which is how the Speak Your Mind Forum came into being. Over there people basically chat about anything and everything (within reason ).
Personally, I figure that just having one thread in here dedicated to chat would be a great idea.
This is a reason I really like Game Banshee, it is by far one of the best gaming forums on the net, simply because the people that come here are, for the most part, very welcoming and friendly, probably also owing to the atmosphere created by site administrator and moderators. I also think this speaks to games like SoA and MW, they are the sort of games that tend to encourage a community. Okay.. now I'm rambling, I'll stop
btw, you may want to modify the thread title somewhat, so that people know this is a chat area

lol! I'm wondering, if people wrote posts in a word doc and then pasted them, if the font would be retained. I doubt it somehow, but I know when I paste something that has French accents or something similar, it does show up in the Game Banshee posts.
Hmmm... I'll have to give the Daedric font some thought. Though I'm not sure I'd want to tell my family. As it is, I would love to attach the paper map to the wall near my desk, but my partner would tease me mercilessly... He's a good guy, but not really into gaming. Although he does seem more intrigued by MW than any other game I've played.

I know there are replicas of the map out there, though they are, of course, much smaller than the original, so harder to read.
lol! This is the only game I've ever played where I have had to rely so extensively on the map, I find myself constantly checking it and cross-referencing with the in-game map. I have never played anything so immersive. I mean, this is the closest thing to a virtual reality that I've ever seen. I know that online games do this to an even greater extent, but I don't have the time that is required for MMPORGs, and I'm a bit uncomfortable at the thought of playing OL with people I don't know.
Regarding the font, maybe you could convince Buck Satan (the site admin) to add it to our font options. This is, after all, an RPG site, so having an atmospheric font would make sense IMO. I don't know enough about the tech details of doing this though, it may not be possible.

LMAO!!!
Are you sure that the pair of you don't need a 12-step programme!
Then again.. there are people who speak in Klingon, so maybe there is hope for you yet

Anyway, I have to head and attempt a moderately productive Saturday morning

Ahh - yeah - the old days and the time of the infamous thread "Goodie", that was a major part in the creation of the Speak Your Mind (SYM).

basicly me and chimp are having part conversations here and part in real life so it may be confusing for people who are simply looking in. and chimp keeps getting yelled at for spamming! lol
also me and chimp were playing morrowind until 5 this morning then we got up at 11 and played some more so we have quite a few things to share but not at the moment cos were not sure if they work.
