Is there any way to turn the music down or off? I can`t hear what my party are saying for the noise.

Yes, when your game screen comes up, instead of hitting "play" go into "options" (or something like that anyway, it's been a bit since I've played). You will find difficulty settings, video settings and sound settings in there :)
