Dual classed NPC's

Post by Caranthol »

I'm sure that most of us have turned Imoen into a mage and Shar-Teel into a thief once or twice. But have any of you out there used the tomes to try on these options?

Xzar -> cleric
Safana -> mage
Dynaheir -> cleric
Branwen -> thief

Did it work well from a roleplaying point of view? :confused:

Safana was ok, I just figured her for a powerhungry mage.
I haven't dualed any of the others, but IMHO Branwen is not a thief, personality-wise. Dynaheir could be fine a cleric, but I wouldn't want to let a nut like Xzar try to heal me! :eek:
Welcome to Game Banshee, btw! :)

Awh come on Coot don't be that way, Xzar could be a great priest of Cyric.

Have to agree on Branwen though, not a thief, maybe a fighter because of her accent and story, maybe even some kind of illusionist for protection spells like mirror image. But not a thief.
"We fight dogs and we chase cats..."
Chorus: "...ain't no trap can stop the rats!"
"Got no plague and got no fleas..."
Chorus: "...we drink poison, we steal cheese!"
"Mess with us and you will see..."
Chorus: "...we'll put poison in your tea"
"Here we fight and here we'll stay..."
Chorus: "...WE WILL NEVER GO AWAY!"

Thank you for your input and the welcome.

I certainly could see Xzar as a follower of Cyric. As for Dynaheir, i suppose that Mystra would be the logical choise. I've never used Safana, so I have little to say here.

As for Branwen, she was the main reason why I started this thread. I too have a hard time seeing the battle priestess jumping from Tempus to Mask.

In BG2 I could just imagine Xzar laughing manically whilst casting a slay living spell.
