Encounter w/ brigand leader

Post by Kalendraf »

I just started level 2 of the temple late last night. After a brief battle with a minotaur statue, I found a secret door that led to some brigands. Part way thru the battle, the brigand's leader surrendered, offering a truce.

The options included hearing what she had to say or continuing the attack. I figured that I could at least hear her out before deciding whether to fight them. I went thru every dialogue option, and it appears the only option is to let her go free. None of the information she conveyed was all that useful either. After the dialogue, she vanished, but the rest of the brigands were still hostile (a bug?). I didn't have any trouble defeating them, but it was a lengthy battle due to how many of them there were and the layout of the area. It got late and I stopped playing after this.

I'm wondering if I should go back and replay this encounter, but choose to continue the fight instead of bargaining with her. I don't really like letting any of the bad guys go unpunished. I know this may sound a bit greedy, but does she have any interesting loot that I missed?

In this case, I would suggest replaying the encounter, since you appear to have hit what looks like a bug with the surrender of the leader. Might as well let no brigand go unpunished. ;)

Also, I always take the xp when in doubt - unless there is a negative consequence, I kill the bad guys.
