qns abt big picture mod

Just started downloading the big picture mod + other 'required' mods. i have the so-called install instructions, but they are quite confusing. Can anyone tell me what i'm supposed to do to install the big picture properly? also must the bp mod use the BG trilogy mod? because i dont have bg1 or totsc (at least, not with me at the moment) and i dont want to play bg1 either.
