Problems with PM

Very often when I want to answer to a PM, IE starts loading, but stops and says 'ready', only showing the background of the site.

It's the same for editing a post.

I've found out what it is: IE first loads the background, and after that the post stuff. But it doesn't show the loading message for the second part. Due to my very slow connection (56k modem + KaZaA + Gozilla + 4 IE screens at the same time) it takes a lot of time to load the second part, which suggests that there is no loading at all.
