Go to Ebonheart and dive into the water and swim around the fortress (its alone and can only be reached by a small bridge). You should find an underwater door. Go through it and walk around. You will find a guy wearing it, speak to him and he'll attack you. Kill him and you have the Mail. Don't forget to check near some mushrooms for a glass dagger worth 5000!! :D

Hope this helps ;) !

I have the Chysamere... It's my favourite... it is located on an island ( i think just a little north-east of "Azura's Shrine"), in a cave with atronachs and hungers and other nasty stuff and then when your finished with those a really tough mage has it so if you are less than 20 levels or 25 then u should wait (or just bring 10 dozen restore health...)
you might think i'm retaining info but i'm serious, i'm not. i don't know exactly were the cave is... i know, i hate running around a region to find something but it makes u bond with the weapon more...
Chysamere is worth running around a whole region for...
(in my opinion) it is better than the "Kings Oath" but u won't believe me because i only have like 15 posts and people judge by the # of posts, not the info. so in case your wondering what if someone was locked in their basement playing Morrowind for a whole year and then joined a forum and then people didn't listen to this person because of the number of posts. really, i don't look at the number of posts but the info... someone could post a million stuff but it could all be trash...

Sorry, but your directions aren't even close. Chysamere is in a cave on an island near Sadrith Mora. Use the mage guild guide to get to the Sadrith Mora Mages Guild and head out the door and down the staircase past the Imperial Cult and Fighters Guild outposts until you come to a door leading out to the water. Go out the door (water walking or levitation is really a must for this) and make a bee line toward Tel Fyr. You will pass the entrance to the cave not long after heading out as long as you keep on course (a bit WSW by the compass). The cave is populated by daedric creatures and a sorceress. She has the sword. Again, a CE item of levitation really is handy inside this cave.

How much is Chrysamere worth?
If pro is the opposite of con, is Congress the opposite of progress? - Thanks to Blake for the avatar! :)

Just use the Construction Set to look up the details on any item, including the cost.

agreed, chrys is worth it..if you look at the damage it does, i think it does more than a daedric battle axe..it don't matter about the spell in the blade, which is not bad at all, it does ferocious damage in anyone's hands...

one or two swipes with it will convince you...it is a death dealing machine...

:p

just for fun, i once edited the spell to duplicate the scroll of fiercely roasting..that was funny, until i actually got to the island, and the sorceress cast its spell on me...urg...

so i used amulet of shadows to sneak up on her and fried her with fire spells... :D

A lot of people seem to like this weapon but I prefer something fast and deadly. The Fang of Haynekhtnamet and the Black Hands dagger come to mind. Besides, I find that any weapon with "cast on use" enchantment to be pretty much a waste of the weapon's enchantment potential. I prefer CE or Cast of Strike Weapons because I tend to forget about activating the enchantments before a battle. Same reason I don't care for the Lord's Mail. Skullcrusher with its benign CE enchantment is ideal, then I don't have to worry about getting the spell reflected back on me.

yeah, but i like that effect, actually...

you can hot link the spell to quick keys, and by simply tapping a key, the character automatically equipps the weapon for you... :)

best of all is the ebony mail from the tribunal temple quest...

with high medium armor skill, its as good as daedric cuirass, but much lighter...

the shield constant effect spell makes it as good as the dragonbone cuirass artifact...with almost as good fire resistance...

it is the best armor in the game.. :p

Better in what way? Better armor class? Better enchantment potential? Better in weight? Better looking? Why don't you get both and decide for yourself which is better for you? Or go into the Construction Set and look up the stats on both.
