Getting rid of blindness

Post by Kaitsuburi »

Please enlighten me: what are the possible ways to get rid of blindness? My guesses are:

1) Wait until it goes away (does it really?);
2) Heal at a temple;
3) Restoration (Lesser or Greater);
4) Heal from spell (would partial heal work?);
5) Remove curse;
6) Heal from a potion.
7) ...

2 definitely works, but which ones of the rest do you think can cure blindness?

Thanks!

remove curse...

finally, spell immunity illusion... :p :p :p

Another..

for NPCs, you can kill and resurrect them (can be a good fix for varous sticky problems) - obviously, not viable for the PC :eek:

if you just rest or wait a while, it should go away. It usually does. :)
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(

Thanks for the advice :D

Except for Chloe's sword, are there any other items that confer blindness immunity (mods included)?

Now, imagine the following situation: all your characters are power-blinded except for whoever is immune; if you have group infravision on, can you still target faraway enemies with a blinded spellcaster (the immune character extends field of vision)? My hunch is no (did the Eclipse fellows do that nasty trick?), but please correct me if I'm wrong...

yes, jan's goggles are suppose to do that, according to xyx..

i would say yes, it would work like that...

spook, for example has range of DOUBLE sight radius...so you can have a scout target a enemy out of sight range of spell caster be hit with spook..

being blind is a reduction in sight radius...to the game engine...the interesting thing is if you're blinded, the game acts like the enemy's blinded too...

a blind jan can go up to within 10 feet of a hostile, and set traps, despite the fact he's within the enemy's sight radius, and you can't set traps within the field of view of a hostile...

but seriously, spell immunity illusion will protect you... :p :p :p

All the eclipse party weapons confer immunity to blindness, IIRC - though usability is fairfly restricted.

I read somewhere 'official' (maybe the manual) that the spell Cure Disease will remove effects of blindness. Or maybe it was cure poison. Or maybe it was for curing confusion. Something like that

Yep, cure disease should do it. According to Xyx.
