Black Room ?

In the Fire Temple there is a priest standing in front of a chest and if you speak to him he says"Hurry through."

First question what is he talking about?

Secondly what is that Big Black area behind him on the map?Looks as though it is a room on the map but there is no entrance. Any one know anything about all this?

Yeah I have looked on the map. It's number 20 where the preist stands in the room with his back facing the black room. It is also the same room where you fight those nasty Salamanders.

My Rogue went up to him (since she was the only one wearing a Fire temple Robe)

And he says if you wish to speak to (some preist) then i will open the door for you, so hurry through.

I am quite aware of the other magic doors in this area. It's just the room directly behind the Salamanders room it's Black on the map.

My party went around on the outside of this room looking for a door and found nothing. No door to tell us it is magical (unless I am blind) No door to unlock or anything.

It's really mind boggiling.

Theres nothing behind this priest, the blackness is just that, empty black space.

Whe he tells you to hurry through to speak with the priest he means Ashrem, the leader of the Fire Temple that you find through the doors 'north' of him.

Is't just a bad dialoge script on Troioka's part. You get the impression that he means a door 'behind' him but he's refering to the doors 'ahead' of him.

So relax, you havent missed anything.
