Legendary Items (SPOILERS!!!!)
I thought of a good thread that that labels legindary items. This is for all the people who are too lazy too look in the yellow pages. I would put a few but I'm not in the mood right now. I'll put some later.

Legendary Items book has most of them
Spoilers:
The book "Tamrielic Lore" lists most of the legendary items and their history. This is the list and where I think I found them.
Lord's Mail (Imperial Legion quest)
Ebony Mail (Vivic Temple quest)
Spell Breaker shield (see notes)
Chrysamere sword (Imperial Legion quest)
Staff of Magnus (Balmora Mage guild quest - from the Khajiit)
Warlock's Ring (Balmora Mage guild quest - from the Khajiit)
Ring of Phynaster (in tomb on Sheogorad - no quest)
Ring of Khajiit (Morag Tong quest)
Mace of Molag Bal (daedric shrine quest - near Tel Aruhn)
Masque of Clavicus Vile (Imperial Legion quest)
Mehrunes Razor (Yasammidan daedric shrine quest)
Cuirass of the Savior's Hide (no quest - Tel Fyr)
Spear of Bitter Mercy (Vivic St Deylns daedric shrine quest)
Daedric Scourge (not sure - possibly a daedric shrine quest)
Bow of Shadows (no quest - in Dagoth Ur's fortress)
Fist of Randagulf (Ilinubi, Carcass of the Saint cave)
Ice Blade of the Monarch (Imperial Cult quest - Rotheran)
Ring of Surroundings (Ft Moonmoth quest reward?)
Boots of the Apostle (Imperial Cult quest - Berandas)
The Mentor's Ring (no quest - tomb near Seyda Neen)
Ring of the Wind (Imperial Cult - Oracle's quest)
Vampiric Ring (? maybe the Berne vampire clan)
Eleidon's Ward (shield) (no quest - in Ibar-Dad cave)
Staff of Hasedoki (see note)
Bloodworm Helm (tomb near Erabenimsum Camp)
Dragonbone Mail (grotto/sunken dwemer ruin S of Ebonheart)
Skull Crusher (Imperial Cult Oracle's quest)
Goldbrand (daedric shrine quest)
Fang of Haynekhtnamet (Mamaea, Sanctum of Awakening)
Umbra Sword (from Umbra the Orc near Suran)
Denstagmer's Ring (tomb near Gnisis)
Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw (daedric shrine quest)
Daedric Crescent Blade (Tel Fyr amulet)
Notes: The only one I can't remember finding is the Staff of Hasedoki and maybe the Spellbreaker shield. I think the Spellbreaker shield may be related to a Aundae vampire clan quest.
I can't remember who I got the Vampiric Ring off of - maybe the vampire clan quest for the Molag Mar temple)
Edit: @Dark Master. Nice site but the list is not complete. Many items were not covered.

Scourge is a Deadric Mace enchanted with summon Dremora and summon scamp when used, and can be found in the chest next to Divith Fyr. He won’t care if you unlock it.
Similarly the Deadric Crecent can be obtained using the same method. There’s another chest on the shelf, so unlock this one, and equip the amulet. It’ll ask you if you’d like to teleport to somewhere or other – do so and kill the Dremora Lord for the coolest weapon in the game.
The Ebony Mail is obtained when completing the final temple quest – the pilgrimage. A common mistake is to assume that because its Ebony, its heavy armour – it isn’t. Its medium.
The Masque of Clavius Ville can be obtained by entering a tower near Sheograd. Not sure of the exact name of the tower but look for Sjorkvild the Raven. When inside go down the steps, turn right, go up the ladder and kill Sjorkvild – the masque is on his person. I believe the tower is visible from Dagon Fell.
While in this region it may be worth heading west past Santus Shrine, which incidentally is marked on your map. On the Island just west of the shrine is a deadric ruin. Enter it and slaughter the orcs below. Speak to the statue to receive the quest for the helm of Oreon Bearnclaw. I’m not sure of the spelling on that. You will be told to go the ‘city where the man god lives’ obviously that’s Vivec. Get there, and ask about Mr Bearnclaw’s decedent. You’ll be told he’s gone to Gnaar Mok. Get a boat out there and ask about him. You’ll be told he’s south of town dealing with some netches. Go and kill him, you don’t have to kill his guards, so you can feasibly run in and kill him, then cast some kind of recall/intervention spell. Or you can take him out with an arrow from a distance. Return to the shrine for your reward – an awesome heavy armour helm, with a massive armour rating, and also CE +40 on Endurance and Agility. Probably the best helm in the game.
On your way to Gnaar Mok, why not stop off in Hla Oad, and head to that X on your paper map. This is another Deadric shrine, talk to the sunken head, and then head back inland. Next time you’re in Vivec stop off at Jobasha and get the relevant book, the name of which escapes me right now, hopefully somebody else can give you the info. Its B-something’s glory if you really can’t wait. Head to the top floor of Ghorak Manor in Caldera when you have this book. If you don’t have 5000 gold Creeper is standing there and he pays full value for weapons and armour and soul gems, as well as a few other things, so get 5000, then speak to the guy on the top floor. He’ll tell you he can make the shrine. In 45 (in game) days head to Kartag Point, shown on your paper map just north of Gnaar Mok and talk to the new statue to receive Goldbrand.
That’s all for now, more later.
