Non-existent journal entrys????

Hello peeps.

Slight but very important problem.

Whenever I hit on a plot line and the Journal flashes with a new entry, and then I go to check the Journal shortly afterwards, there are no entrys except the first couple at the very start of the game.
The game is patched to 1.1.
Having previously played it (but didn't finish) the Journal worked fine. But I cant remember if I had patched it then or not.
Has anyone else had the same issue?
So I cannot complete SUB quest by talking to people. The only one I have done is the Decko Grove spiders, yet theres STILL no journal entry for it???!!!

Help me please!!!

Hmm....

Have uninstalled and re-installed plus applied the Co8 patch. Have not applied the 1.1 patch tho, so I think its ok now.
