Stealing with NPCs

Hi.

I've tried finding the answer to this everywhere, but I can't seem to. I've read in a FAQ or two things like, "Annah should be able to steal ..." where it refers to stealing to things from shop keepers (for example, her new armor at the tailor). However, I've been unable to determine how to do this. I can pick pockets with Annah, but that just gets what's on the NPC, which is usually worthless stuff like rings which can't be sold and such.

I've tried going into the store interface and stealing, but that only works if the Nameless One is a thief, which, I think, means that it isn't Annah stealing.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to get a five fingered discount without training The Nameless One as a thief?

When you're in the store interface, click on Annah's portrait. Then you can use the steal interface (assuming it is a store that can be stolen from).
