Coolest Looking Thing in the Game

Post by Danbacksli »

The subject is simply the question. What is the coolest looking thing that you have found in the game.

For me, its the purple statue of a Dragon in Ebonheart. I looked at that and said "Wow!"

That house mod Dragonwench recommended, Abu's Retreat. Damn fine place with enormous interior detail--including a greenhouse with "exterior" lighting. :D

The nightsky, the moons, the red sea in the stars.. Beautiful, so much poetry was inspired by that view..
What a wonderous love it is
To bind two souls in faith,
Chained completely together
With never a false word,
Weal and woe, wish and real,
Woven each together
From first kiss to last breath
First and last whispered in love

I approached Azura's shrine for the first time at dawn. It made for a very scenec picture. Wish I had known how to screencap then. :D

Glass Helmet looks really really cool! Especially when enchanted with some mysticism... I think?

The detail in the armor looks great.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel alright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
I may be bad, but I feel good.

When you exit the ship at Seyda Neen for the first time, and you see how great the world looks.

Well I'm not sure it is 'the coolest' thing in the game, but I love the retextured armor and robes from the 'violet femme' mod, not to mention the purple-leaved tree outside the boutique. Everything, including the interior lighting, is very purple. :D

@Fable,
*grin* Yes I find that Abu's Retreat is worth downloading just for the greenhouse alone! :)

I too enjoy the night sky the most. When i first got morrowind, the first thing I did was wander around looking at things. I played for hours and when night came, I looked up at the sky and it brought a tear to my eye *sniff*. Not really, but it was really freakin cool. the moons like that n' all.

I don't know that it fits the definition of cool looking.. more like overall sensory appreciation.. but the thunderstorms in the game are just awesome! Sight, sound.... you can almost smell and feel the rain !

I remember the first time I played the game and I was walking to Balmora. The night felt and it started to rain, than when I was walking near the Moonmoth fortress I heard a big thunder. It was the first time the game really frightened me :D . It looked so damn spooky, but on the same moment so beautifully.

My experience was quite similar, it was night and I was just coming into Pelagiad. I had my speakers way up because I had just installed the "Bitter Coast Sounds" mod, and a few moments after the sound of rain I heard an incredible crack of thunder... I nearly jumped out of my skin and my partner and son actually thought a storm was happening outside.

So i assume your partner & son are in fact two different people? :D ;)

My favorite part of the game has to be my 5-second 40-to-40 levitation spell that lets me fly superfast... Since it lasts so short I'll cast it often, and just as i'm reaching my destination i'll fly straight up a bit, and then crash to the ground (unharmed of course!) right in front of my target door/npc/tomb etc... Flying around like that makes me feel like a true wizard! :)

The swamplands are the coolest looking thing in the game... Nothing in that game feels like being immersed in a different world more that the bittercoast region

They're certainly attractive, and with Wilderness Sounds, you get an unbelievable mix of noises in the background. It's hard to believe (but true!) that one modder's making a major effort to remove the swamp and lava lands and reforest everything: Leafy Morrowind and Green Morrowind. They're actually two parts of a four part project of his.
