"spoiler" Main Quest

Post by Hollie »

:( :( I am a level 56 and have been playing for awhile but only recently started the main quest misson , I am a little stuck because I have been sent to retreive a bow for Sul-Matuul , from the Laterus burial tomb, I have been in there and there are many doors leading to other burial tombs , but in the Laterus tomb I can't seem to find this bow Sul-Matuul wants , does a mummy have it and is it in this room or behind one of the other doors . I have also heard that Wraith is there , what is this item and will it say Wraith when I find it ? Can we also take from the mummys or would this ruin the game somehow ? Thanks Kindly

You can take from the mummies, I'm assuming you've spotted Mage Bane and that's why you're asking that, you can take it. The buriel chamber you want is on the topmost one as you go up the spiral rocky thing, just keep going up and up and up until you reach it, then you have to progess through this chamber - don't worry, its not far. You'll meet the Wraith of Sul - Something. Kill it and take the bow from its corpse.

I'm thinking you probably already killed the ghost and didn't realize it's significance in the quest. You might have to go hunt for its little dustheap and see if the bow is there.

Or check all the shops you might've sold the bow to before you realized its significance.

I got up around level 32 before really hitting the main quest and cleared out some tunnels full of these guys with the first name Dagoth. Turns out a bunch of the stuff I found in there (some of which I left lay) is going to be needed later in the quest.
So I have travelled throughout the land and was a pilgrim all my life, alone and a stranger feeling alien. Then Thou hast made grow in my Thine Art under the breath of the terrible storm in me.

Yeah. It sucks when you do stuff early and then it disappears. I couldn't legally do the Imperial Legion quests since I'd already found the Mail and Chysamere but hadn't kept them. After a long enough time they disappeared.

Gotta love the Console. :)

The Bow

I have not seen any ghout yet , only a scelton champions , which have been easy to kill , but is there another creature lurking around that has this bow ? I was under the impression from the walkthrough that it is on one of the ledges up high in that burial tomb . It is hard to see so you need to keep using a night eye and then the levatate spell . Another question , in some parts of this quest in the walkthrough it mentions about killing some of the members of the Televanni , I am a member and do not want to get kicked out , I'm at a part with the Televanni where my fort is being built . Should I finish that first ?? Then go back to the main quest . Thanks

Yeah, it's a ghostly figure; it's called "ghost of so-and-so sul" or something instead of "ancestor ghost" when you look at it, or its little dust pile, or the gem in which you trap its soul. I don't know about the ledge; seems I remember fighting it in a half-flooded area of the caves.

It's hard to see, I think, cuz you don't see it. Instead, you see it's little grey dustpile, click A and the bow is among the inventory.

Are you talking about killing the Telvanni Thieves Guild members harassing the mines outside Caldera? If so, I think you can get away with it as long as you leave no witnesses. Going after them didn't compromise me with the Thieves Guild, anyway. I'm still on my first time through and have never joined House Telvanni.

A lot of people end up messing their character over on that mission. As has been posted earlier, the bow is in the remains of an ancestral ghost in the very very top tomb, behind a pillar in the back of the room. The problem is that if you leave the dungeon without taking the bow from the remains, it will be gone by the time you go back in to look for it, thus effectively stopping you from finishing the main quest... :(

Wow, I guess I got lucky. I went there as part of the quest so I knew to grab the bow.

I raided that tunnel full of Guys named Dagoth Something before being sent there as part of the quest and left that shield laying there. When I went back later, fortunately, it was still laying there.

Hollie, I hope you're playing on PC. I found this:

"Where is the Bonebiter Bow of Sul-Senipul?
The bow is located in the Urshilaku Burial Chambers. The entrance is southeast of the Camp. Once in the chambers, make your way to Laterus Burial. The Laterus Burial is a very high-roofed cavern filled with waterfalls, mummies and stone walkways. Levitate or walk your way up to the entrance of Juno Burial. It's the topmost door (if you're having troubles navigating these caverns, I have a map showing your route). Enter Juno Burial and find the Specter of Sul-Senipul. You will need to kill the Specter and when you've done so, check its corpse (the little pile of goo). You will find the bow on the corpse.

If you've already killed the Ghost, didn't check the corpse and left the chamber, odds are the corpse disappeared. PC users can use the following console command to add the bow to their inventory:

player->AddItem "bonebiter_bow_unique" 1

Xboxers must restore to a previous save. If that's not possible, there is no known way of getting the bow back :(

You could finish the "quick way", though. GBs walkthrough says how.
