Lag?

Post by Noober »

For some reason my computer lags when viewing water and during VERY large spell battles. Is this normal? My specs are below:

P4 3.2ghz
Radeon 9800 Pro (128meg)
1024 RAM
Creative Soundblaster Live!

Well it shouldnt be on uour sytem.
Try updating drivers, and patching the game.
Else, dont let it ruin a great gaming experience
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

When you say lag, do you mean lag, because it sounds like a framerate problem.

If you are playing the game alone, so no internet involved, then you have a low framerate. Then you should do as Stilgar said.

If you are playing online and the game slows down or 'stutters', then you have lag. Then you should pick a different server or upgrade your connection.

Actually its probably a framerate problem but its much worse when online. Everything upto date and I am using cable (can't' afford anything better). Would it be because I'm using an unsupported resolution? I would change, but the game keeps saying that it can't change to a lower resolution.

that's very much possible, I remember that i played bg2 1024*768 with my 2,8 ghz radeon 9800 pro 256 mb, and it would crash almost every second or so.
