Thief Stronghold / Multi-Class

Hi ! I play an elven thief/mage and got the thief stronghold some time ago. Now, I have to pay Renal money every 5 days or so. Now I want to do the Umar Hills and Nalia quests, so I guess I´ll stay out of Akathla for some time. Will I lose my guild because I won´t be there to pay Renal ? Also, what will I lose when I lose the guild ?
Another question : if I lose or give up the thief stronghold, can I then gain the mage stronghold, or can you only have one stronghold per game ?

5 days is a long time (120 hours or 7,5 x 16 hours full rest) that should be enought to clear out the keep. in case you dont make it back in time (you will be notified when it is time to go) you will have to pay a "ticket" of 5000 gp to get your strong hold back, next time I am not sure you are so lucky. just take the keep first, then go and collect your income and pay R. after you have done that go on to Umar hills (that shouldn't take THAT long)
so dont worry if you mess up once but 5 days should be enought.

Thanks for the Welcome, though I already have another user acoount JoeL. It´s just that I forgot my password and since I am in the office right now, I couldn´t just log in. So I created a new account, named for my PC.
What about my other question ? Can I give up the thieves´ guild and get the planar sphere ?

Nah, I guess I´ll stay in my guild then ! BTW, what happens to my guild when I leave to rescue Imoen ? That´ll definitely take longer than 5 days ?

Certain chapters stop the clock on timed events. Running off to SpellHold is one of them

2 ways.
1st. There is multistronghold patch somewhere around.

2nd. Do not accept the guild, you might get the Sphere for sure. There is another way -

do not bring Lavok out of Sphere (reject only after you're back, there is an option), he should leave the Sphere to you. If you already have a stronghold and let him die outside he shouldn't. As far i know there is no way to renounce the stronghold, so, even if you have lost it (the Keep might be lost as well), what's out of it, you're marked already.

You even might have both or so i'm told. Some time ago there was a long and detailed thread about the multistronghold matters, so use search.
