Lots of Drow hostility

Well, now I am in the Underdark, doing quests with my solo kensai\thief.

When I try to do the sneaky quest where u are suposed to steal the dragon eggs for Phare.
But every time I do this quest the entire city goes aggro on me!

The game is patched and everything, maybe I should just load an old savegame (even though that would mean going through the illithids place again)

Hmm...

When do they go hostile on you? Are you letting the guards see you when steal the eggs, or letting the other guards see you kill the egg guards?

If that's the case, reloads won't help - you have to kill the egg guards without anyone else noticing.

well, I sneak up to the doors without anyone seeing me, then I open the doors and the guards see me, then I close the doors, so that I wont have to fight the guards and the golems at the same time. Then I kill the golems, open the door, backstab one guard, run back in and hide, backstab the other guard. (no one sees this btw) and then I sneak away, but now i see that everybody in the temple are hostile towards me, if they could have seen me, they would have attacked.
When I leave the temple, (still steathy) and walk through the city to the female fighter house, everybody is hostile towards me, and when I enter the female house, I have about 1 sec to pause the game, and start the conversation with Phare before she goes aggro as well.

You're best off not killing any guards at all. Try the priest spell Sanctuary - this will prevent any attacks from the guards and hostilities from the Drow.

Or kill the drow guards (the two at the door) before you steal the eggs

I can't remember exactly how I circumvented the problem with the Egg Guards. I think the trick is not to let ANYONE in the Temple see ANYONE in your party when you take the eggs. Try casting invisibility on your entire party and see if that helps.

While I'm at it, here's another suggestion:

Let Phaere have the real eggs. When she offers them to the Demon Lord, tell her you won't let her give them to him. That's the only chance you'll get to fight the Demon Lord.

I don't remember killing any guards, though. I just went into the egg room, closed the door, killed the golems and took the eggs. Then I walked away.

You have to whack the guards that are closest to the door. You can do that without casting invis or anything like that, just move your pc or party between them and the door. That way yoú won't be seen by other guards.
You have to kill the guards before you steal the eggs.

FINALLY

After doing the Illithid cave and the Kua Toa dungeon I finally got to test out some of the good strategies that came up in this thread.

AND IT WORKED!!

N ow I can proceed like normal, without fear of haveing to slaughter all of Ust' Natha (sp)

btw, this is a treally great site! Even though I have only been here for a couple of weeks, everybody treat me good, without checking how many posts I have and so on. I now that's not the case in many iRC channels.

Thanks alot folks (now I shall slay the demon AND the dragon, with my cheesy traps MUHAHAHAHAHA! cough, coug)
