Crash on chest in safe house

I could not find anything on this crash so I thought I would ask. You know the house you can get doing one of the quest. I have been putting stuff in one of the chest for a bit of time now. Today every time I go to open it to add to it. It crashes the game. It does not matter which chest I try to open the results are the same. Anyone run into this problem and if so what can be done about it. I have some very good items in the chest I want to get to.

CTDs are amongst one of the hardest problems to reproduce in the game which is why efforts have been slow to correct them. Steve Moret certainly does not deny their existence and has corrected a few in both the 1st official patch and the 2nd official patch.
If you can reproduce this crash consistently, mail me the zipped saved files (zhugetx@yahoo.com). If I can reproduce it I'll mail the saved game to Steve for his attention.
