Question
Is there any difference between the xbox version of Marrowind and the Pc version?
also which is better?
Thanks!

Thanks!

Speaking as an xbox gal, I would sincerely recommend you get the pc version of Morrowind. Just for the mods. Especially for the mods. Then you can download our very excellent "Less Generic NPC" mod! As well as practically a million others. I've heard theories that some mods can be used in x box, but it requires a very high technical skill and a lot of hocus pocus. And I am neither magical or technical. So.... well, pc morrowind is better.
you know what they say about all work and no play...
It's totally not worth the monetary rewards!!!

I second Beornica's enthusiastic endorsement of PC mods. In fact, they're one of the main reasons I've returned to Morrowind after a couple of years. There are literally 3000+ mods that add new visual effects, more sounds, largescale quests, new NPCs, extra dialog, more realism, extra playing options, tweaks to make the game easier or harder, etc.

Yes, being able to download the mods is an awesome advantage!
Also, if something goes wrong, for example if you inadvertantly lose or sell an item you later require for a quest, you can use the console to import it back into your game.
Just make sure your computer has the required specs... They are in reality far higher than Bethesda's estimations... Running some mods can be an even greater additional resource drain...

Are you referring just to the handful of mods that make things easier in Morrowind, or the mods that make things harder? Do mods that replace the original visual textures with newer, more attractive but memory-intensive ones, "cheat" somehow? Are new, expensive robes or cloaks that are simply attractive, unbalancing?
Oh no, trust me, I love my x box. And my collection of games I can play on it. But come on, wouldn't you like to have Rhedd's heads?
And the robes, armour etc. that you can buy at the Violet Femme Boutique (a mod) look great too
My character has one of the female Breton heads/hair from Rhedd's and wears a very flattering and very purple robe.. It is just an aesthetic touch but these sorts of visual improvements can really increase the enjoyment factor, especially in a game like MW where so much is based on the graphics.
btw @ beornica, I've been meaning to mention, I love your sig! Just wait till the said child is older, then you'll be fighting over the electronic toys...
(I have a 9-yr-old son).

The shame is that so many of the finest clothing mods are female-only. I suspect my next character is going to be a female wood elf or some such, as a result.

Ok since the title of this thread is just Question, I decided not to create another thread to ask it..
Where is the "Evidence" chest in Mournhold?
Sorry for going off topic but im trying to reduce the amount of threads we have..

What a wonderous love it is
To bind two souls in faith,
Chained completely together
With never a false word,
Weal and woe, wish and real,
Woven each together
From first kiss to last breath
First and last whispered in love
Ashland Hymn

Don't worry about having too many threads, here. Buck's pretty ruthless about cutting out old stuff. And your chances of getting answers increases with a separate thread--and a relevant title.

@Fable,
lol! I had noticed that.. There are probably all kinds of stereotypical assumptions out there about male players...
Here is a shot of my character taken from the balcony of her Arch Mage Tower in Pelagiad. I should have probably taken the "photo" before enchanting the robe, but oh well
here is a closeup

I haven't been interested in adding any mods that improve the look of the PC because I always play in first-person-view, but I have to say, DW, your mage looks pretty good! I may have to fiddle with Redds Heads after all....
btw: What the heck is she holding in that picture? It looks like a melting staff...

lol! well Rhedd's are seriously worth it, there is a link to the site in the MW Yellowpages Sticky. I play in first person too, but every so often I'll press tab just to see how a robe or a weapon looks, and I admit it's fun to have a head that isn't all pixilated and blurred. Besides... the game portraits are not, in most cases, exactly inspiring....
*snicker* Don't worry I haven't managed to find a Horrid Wilting spell in MW yet That is the Daedric Crescent... a very sweet weapon indeed.. It is fun at this stage too because I have maxed my short blade skill, and the crescent is classed as a long blade, so I still miss a lot Though when I actually hit, it takes most nasties out with one swipe

Very nice image. I had to choose between Better Heads and Rhedd's and went with the former, but I know if you install quest mods that use Rhedd's later in the queue, the appropriate Rhedd head will load--which is the way I did it. No conflicts were apparent.

I have the game on both systems. I like XBox handset controls TONS UPON TONS better than the mouse/keyboard thing (My left pinkie is permanently clenched in a little hook from holding the CTRL key down half the night). It's especially better in a fight, I have a tough time stabbing at the directional keys. I'd hoped making potions would be a lot easier on PC, but it's not much easier (at least you can see the effects of whatever reagent you've already selected for a potion, something missing from XBox). My XBox game flows smoother than the PC game. Graphically, the PC game is crisper, but you pay a performance price if you're not running super advanced video cards and stuff.
I've not picked up any mods yet, but I can definitely see where that would extend one's enjoyment of the game and the surrounding gaming community. If you have both systems, have the ability to nerd-out for months at a time on a single game and aren't totally repelled by playing first-person type games on a keyboard, I'd say get the PC version.
Otherwise, get the XBox version for a smoother ride.

My personal favourite mod is the Giants one, that adds the dragons etc. I remember I installed it, checked the box, and Morrowind crashed when I loaded the game, and I was annoyed, so I didn't play it for a week. I'd just started again and had forgotten it was installed until I was swimming around the edge of the Foyda in the Khuul area and this huge green thing with horns came towards me. THAT was awesome. No sooner had I shaken myself clean than an enourmous skeleton has hurling boulders at me...
